i couldnt put him on a higher pkt pair and felt like I 'had' to call his river raise due to the 'unlikelyness' off quads
ive lost $$ before from limping preflop with JJ... though I havnt once limped and hit a set so maybe it is worth it.

If you are going to limp JJ you are looking for an uncoordinated board against someone who you have a read on...or a set...Plain and simple. I make more money limping this hand EP in later stages of tourneys. This is where you have been sitting for awhile and have reads on most of your players. i dont like limping it LP no matter what.

Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.

If you limp to set with JJ, you should basically be able to let it go without much of a fight. You just need to discipline yourself to learn that over pairs lose to two small pairs.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.
