Are you betting for value or trying to induce a raise? Against an aware opponent you're asking to get bluffed with that blocking bet. If that's your intention I think your bet is fine. If you're betting for value I prefer ~$40-45 against opponents that have a clue and obviously fold to a raise. Against a player that has a reasonable bluffing frequency I think check-calling a reasonable bet is a better line than putting out a blocking bet unless you're prepared to call a raise. That said, when up against weak, unimaginative opponents I think the blocking bet is fine.
TheXianti: (Triptanes) why are you not a thinking person?

I was betting for value. And I knew it was bad as soon as I clicked it

Good question. I put him on TT-55, or less likely, two broadways or a slow-played monster. After the turn call, I really think TT-55.

TT-77s most likely, you shoulda put out more than 25 bucks on the river though. He coulda easily call another 45-55 bucks on the river.
