Yeah, Jacks no good. A bluff bets bigger, Tx calls? That's the nut of it, how does Tx play in this game? Better yet, this opponent?

These hands always mistify me.
I can't figure out a hand that plays that way. I think he's got a ten or a smaller pair than you. He's trying to push you off of high cards cheaply.
I put in a raise.

I'm putting in a reraise, making it $60 to go. He'll let you know for sure if you're beat then.
To me, his min-raise asks the question, "The flop is ten-high, do you have AK? Are you sure you want to continue with this?" Your response should be, "Hell no I don't have AK, fold this or put in all of your chips if you're ahead of me."
If this guy pushes you fold...If he calls you're put to another decision on the turn. Chances are he has a set and is trying to get you to fire another bullet here.....but most people wait until the turn to do this.
I heard a great line the other night: "There are three ways to play jacks. All of them are wrong." I like to limp them for set value most of the time. When I don't I seem to get burned pretty bad with them, this one may end up burning you.
This one's a toughy...but you gotta put in a stiff RERAISE.

Ask yourself what a min-raise on this rainbow disconnected flop means from this opponent. Does a set do this? No a set doesn't usually do this. It either jams the flop or check raises a later street. Does QQ, KK or AA do this? QQ raises the flop more. KK and AA slowplay till at least the turn on that harmless board, or jam the flop.
Most hands that beat you will play fast or slow on a harmless board. This opponent is doing neither.
The bottom line is your villain min raised for information. Why does he need information? Because he has a vulnerable hand. Your villain most likely has QT KT or AT based on the general pattern. You're ahead a lot of the time here. Reraise.

Do you think this every time you get your continuation bet minraised on the flop? If so I think you must give up a lot of pots to minraise bluffs from observant opponents.
I don't play sets this way against most opponents. Against a random opponent min raising here is limiting the value you can get for your hand. I tend to think a minraise from villain here is a very standard play for someone with over cards or a smaller pair who wants to gauge the strength of your hand.
A line that i like very much in these situations is to think for a few seconds, then call, then pause again and check the turn if it comes blank. This is a surefire way to induce a bluff from almost any mediocre to decent opponent, even a lot of very tight/passive ones.

Pretty straight forward. Tx is the only legitamate hand that makes this play. AA very rarely plays it this way. I was confident he would call with TPTK so I went ahead and put him in.
Didn't work out, but hey, thats poker.
