This first hand i wonder if i shouldn't have value bet the river after villain called 2 streets.

FullTiltPoker Game #2126310005: Table Dronberger - $0.50/$1

Villain: ($44.25)
Hero: ($113.15)
7 other stacks, not relevant

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Hero: [Ac Jc]
2 folds
Hero: raises to $3.50
2 folds
Villain: calls $3.50
2 folds
*** FLOP *** [8c 4d Th]
Hero: bets $5.10
Villain: calls $5.10
*** TURN *** [8c 4d Th] [Js]
Hero: bets $11.20
Villain: calls $11.20
*** RIVER *** [8c 4d Th Js] [2c]
Hero: bets $16
Villain: raises to $24.45, and is all in
Hero: calls $8.45
*** SHOW DOWN ***
Villain: shows [8h 8s] (three of a kind, Eights)

Then...

Same villain, probably 1/2 hour later. I wonder if anyone else calls the river here because of how villain played his last set hand.

If we think we're good in hand 2, I would just shove over his turn bet.

i debated doing that, but was afraid he could get away from TP if i c/r the turn, since he was only 1/2 stack in.

I guess if he was any good he would check behind with that hand also...

Could i minraise turn/ AI river (that way, he would be getting ~8:1 on both calls)?

So What? You still have half his stack and he loses a chance to suck-out on the river.

he bought in half stacked. Im felting every tp and overpair versus him. Id check/raise all in on second river, he can hardly fold tp even maybe mp to that action.

Hand 1 I felt against a shorty.

I agree that we are good in Hand 2 enough to call. If you push turn he calls with any number of draws as well as TP/MP.

Assume half stacks suck unless you have stats on them that say they are nitty. THEN you might be able to get away.

hand 1: check the turn... keep the pot small and get hands that he floated with to bet because it looks weak.

hand 2: i think you are good unless he flipped over 88 again.
