This is at B2B....play has ranged from fishy loose to super tight preflop. The player in question I don't have a great read on, I've seen him make a couple bad plays, but haven't labeled him as awful yet. I checked the Kings in the BB for a few reasons- one in an attempt to trap, and the fact that I was quite content to fold it if I didn't like the flop...and for the obvious reason that noone will put me on KK checking in BB.
So what do you guys think? I can post results later if there's an interest.

Gotta raise PF. Use your lagg image to suck people in with crap hands. I don't think any preflop hand is good enough to check in the BB in an attempt to trap. You want to get as much money in the pot while you know you are a favorite before you become out of position for the rest of the hand.

As played this is an easy call IMO. He only bought in for 30bb so he probably sucks. Sucky players don't play sets this fast generally. He has a draw/lesser overpair/8x a massive percentage of the time here. The preflop action suggests set but it could even more easily be 99-JJ.

Wow Rent. The call is THAT easy for you simply based on buy-in amount?

Hmmm. I think I am giving people much credit. If it's me I seriously consider folding here... and expect to be 60-40 at best vs pair plus flush draw etc... or draw plus over etc...

Guess I gotta log a few more hundred thousand hands in the ring before situations like this creep out of marginality into simply +EV plays.

Other thing I haven't mentioned is that I have seen numerous shorties buying in and waiting for nutz nonetheless before pushing...

Yeah you're right of course...BUT...
It's fun and interesting to mix it up sometimes, and in this case it put me probably in a situation to bust some dood that i probably would not have been had I punished them preflop. Also...most of them don't notice my LAG style (which has been toned down lately anyway) enough that they pay me off with my big hands (the main problem playing at these limits i imagine).
Anyway, I did of course call the dood's shove.

the situation would be much less interesting (read: difficult to play) if you had raised preflop. never let trash hands get away with seeing a cheap flop.

oh and why not bet the flop? It's pretty close to ideal for KK...

I don't like mixing it up out of position. I generally like to play a very straight forward value betting game from the blinds.
