So I'm starting to add some NL ring to my poker games, as of tonight.

Thought of folding this on the flop. I thought I'd see one more card for the implied odds...

Marko seems to be a semi-aware fish, so I thought I could actually get some $$ out of him too (otherwise, implied odds don't count).

Also note: the importance of not allowing the blinds to see a flop for cheap.

Also why you should keep your stack nearly topped off at all times. He should have gotten a lot more out of me. As it is, I actually came out of the hand with a profit (due to the other person's bad play ) .

Should I have played flop differently?

Greedo017 is on a distinguished road
hand 1: that guy is awful, but your flop call is bad, the odds of completing an inside straight draw are poop, your implied odds don't make up for it.

hand 2: i personally wouldn't have just pushed like that, but you were f'd anyway. good thing about the moron with ace 2.
i betcha that i got something you ain't got, that's called courage, it don't come from no liquor bottle, it ain't scotch

Why don't I have implied odds? There's no way he'd put me on the straight if I hit, and, judging from his play, I figured I could potentially take his entire stack if he hit two pair or even just TPTK (which he overvalued). Maybe it's too close for the times that he's just bluffing at the pot though, and I get nothing.

How would you have played it? I agree I don't like the flop push.. but at that point I figured I probably had the best hand, and on the draw-heavy board I didn't want to give any cheap draws to the other player. Maybe just raise to 10?
