Villain is kind of passive, kind of bad. I have 50 hands on him at 40/8. This is the first time he's check-raised anyone. When someone like this wakes up with a check-raise, I usually run for the hills.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

BB ($33.85)
UTG ($11.15)
MP ($28.50)

Flop: ($5.75) A, 2, 5 (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $3, MP raises to $6, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $14.75

My money is going in there everytime in this situation. Maybe call the flop and get it in on the turn.

jackvance is an unknown quantity at this point
Hm, I think you have a better chance to have him beat here though..

Let's do some thinking, what could he have here? AA? Not likely. a low set? Not likely. Two pair? Highly doubtful. There's a whole RANGE of cards he could have that would bet like this though, and you got all of them beat. I'd take it every time and hammer the turn probably.

Remember he can also "wake up" with a check/raise because he just feels it's time to bluff a pot, or atleast semi-bluff it.

I dont think weak-tight with TPTK against passive players is a leak. If there is nothing he is likely to be semi-bluffing, except perhaps 33 or 44 so I dont think a fold is too bad there.

Given that we have position I probably call and see what he does on the turn but he will probably do something that makes you want to fold.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?
