I just want to get some feedback just to be sure.

The dude was playing way too many hands. What am i goin to do? Fold to a min. re-raise pre-flop? I don't think so. Then on the flop, he's already pot-committed so I might as well push him all-in. If I lose, I lose. Thoughts?

you cold call preflop - putting you in a weak position, if you think he's playing to many hand put him on the spot right there, or lay it down and wait for later.

you bet out on a flop un-improved against a preflop reraise, and you think he's a maniac, further, he is short stacked.. did you really think he was going to fold? you couldve quite easily saved the $3 there.

so you got lucky and rivered him. If he was as you say he probably wouldve called with any pair or AK.. pairs leaving you 6 outs, AK leaving you 3 outs. as it were you were drawing 3.. making him a nice big 88% fav over you.
villain goes AI
i call with a set (i have him owned)
i win pot
