I'm not a teacher, but I think there is a lesson to be learned here.
This guy hung himself by playing so passivley a hand which should have been the best.

I put him on a Kx right away, so I tried to bet enough to get him to lay it down to my better King. Since he didn't re-raise me pre-flop I at least knew he didn't have AK, the only one he probably wouldn't lay down.

To my suprise and relief He was stupid enough to play AK this way, and ended up screwing himself.

Trying to force $25 NL players to fold their top pair will lose you money. Please bet more on the river, he called an $8 bet on the turn I am sure he would have called a $15-$20 bet on the river.

I really didn't think he was that strong.

I either thought he was on some funky draw, or was on a weak weak King.

Without a queen in his hand I figured he would be scared to call much more.

He's not putting you on a straight here. You were hammering the pot long before that came out. He would have called more.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

If you bet 15 instead of 6 on the river, you only need him to call 40% as often as he would call 6 to get more value.

If you bet 18 instead of 6, you only need him to call 33% as often to get more value.

I think if he's calling 6$, he's calling 15$ at least 2/5 times. 18$ maybe a little too pricey.

These fishies at low limit barely lay down TPTK for anything less than their stack on a 4 suited board with 4 consecutive cards...

Good point.

Since were on the subject..

What is a normal value bet at this limit for you guys? 1/2 the pot, full pot. overbet the pot?

I just usually bet what I think will get called based on what I believe they have, but maybe I would be better off over-betting and just getting a few less calls.

Anythoughts on this?
