fold preflop.
otherwise, raise the pot size on the flop. the board is coordinated and you want flush and straight drawers to pay for the next card.

You typically shouldn't be playing J7 suited or not unless you're in the blinds or possibly on the button. I guess I'm seeing the flop with it though so at least it's for the mimimum. Flop comes giving me two pair and someone bets into me. Personally, I re-raise and for more than the mimimum. I have a pretty strong, yet vulnerable hand at this point so I bet it strong to find out exactly where I stand, especially since I have position. My next move depends on my opponents reaction.

so in this situation since i did have the top two-pair then I should bet hard to test the waters rather than just to call... at the time i felt he had top pair and tried to bet out the flush and str8 drawa....so i thought i might play slow...then the flush flopped and he bet hard again and i just lost it and folded...... so i stick to my first instincts?

It's not about first instincts or "testing the waters." It's about protection.
You have a strong hand on the flop, but the board is straightening and flushing -- you saw this. You want to protect it against those draws. You want all but the weakest players to fold. If they're going to chase, make it expensive for them. I would bet at least pot-size on the flop -- usually more than the pot. I hate getting outdrawn, so I make the fish pay big if they're going to chase.
But again, you should not be playing J7 -- suited or not!

J7s is a preflop fold. Nice laydown on that turn though. Bad play on the flop though.
If you want a full breakdown of what hands to play where and how, check the hand groups section of this website, it helped me out a great deal when I was starting out.
EDIT: Oh and another tip, don't play at BugsysClub, they smell.....like old bread.
Need to go somewhere where more fish (hang on, not just fish, PLAYERS) are around, like PokerStars or PartyPoker.

I have actually only started online poker for a week....and was recommended Bugsy's by my friend. I have no idea what makes which online poker site better or worse... and i am taking what you mean by fish as in looser players correctly? tough old veterans hang out at bugsy's then? i think i might make the switch.

Raise the turn by .6, With that board and action, I'm fairly certain I'm winning this every time. Get some more money in the pot and make the river bet a little bigger.
