On Party playing the bad beat jackpot that would have been a major payoff.
-It seemed like a good idea at the time-

Don't you have to pay on the special bad beat tables with extra rake? and how many hands do you have to play before your quad 8's are beaten?

i think them tables are -EV.

but OMFG! kick ass that you got double your money back
Noooooooooooooooo!!

The jackpot can even pop over $100k sometimes.

That would be a sweet compensation for having your quads/straight flush cracked!

On Prima poker rooms you do not pay extra rake for the bad beat jackpot, but it's not 40K either

The pot is 500$ increasing by 50$ every day it's not won.
To qualify both players must use both cards and the loosing hand must be four of a kind or better. Looser takes 50%, winner 25% and the rest of the table split the remaining 25% among players involved in the hand (not sitting out.

It seems to me that the pot is usually won at least every third day or so, but I'm not sure. In my case the total pot had only increased for one day, to 550$.

Yeah i wanted to play there cause i figured alot of fish would hang out there, but they take a large amount of extra rake, so i didn't bother.
