Flop: ($7.25, 2 players)

Hero checks, BTN checks

River: ($15.25, 2 players)

Villain is 26/9. Plays fairly aggressive post-flop. I definitely expect him to try and take this pot with a wide range after I check to him.
After he checks the turn IP I give him a pair of tens or worse, or he's on a draw. I don't see him playing a better hand like that. That's why I decided to go for a c/c on the river hoping to catch a bluff. Downside is I pay his draws off and might not get value from the few bluff catchers that he might have here.
But anyway... as with most mid-pair hands, I don't feel very confident with any of it.
In retrospect I think b/f might be the better option on the river... I think it's close - but it probably isn't

Renton will become famous soon enough
normally bet flop, i think it makes the hand a bit easier to play and is also more profitable, you can fold to a raise of course.

I find a raise on the river since its only half the pot. And yes obviously you should bet river. I would bet the size of the pot and it would be disgusting if he raised, since u'd only need to be good like 10% to call. You'll cross that bridge when it comes though imo.

I would normally c-bet there on a flop like that... I thought I could get him to bet wider than he would float with, but I really hate giving up the initiative.

That surprises me. I would think his range is pretty polarized here even though it looks like value. I don't expect him to value bet a T here, and I have never seen him take that line with top pair or better - betting the flop, then checking the turn with the draws that are out there.

I guess I didn't bet for the same reason why I don't see a raise. I think there's a lot of random crap in his range, a few draws and not much else. If the J helped him, he's either got me beat or he made a pair or two pair with the case J

And yeah... I didn't notice the stack size in review. That was another reason why I thought checking to induce a bluff might be better - I'm loosing more when I'm beat than what I'm winning if he caught something because I'm not folding if he shoves.
