Yeah what they said, and actually the way you played it I may fold the river also, he seems to come alive there strangely.
EDIT: Yep I'm right.

Me? I woulda reraised it preflop because I have AK and I have position. Moreso the fact that I have position. Let's make it $1.50-$1.75, somewhere about there.
If I don't raise there, I'm definitely raising the turn. What am I afraid of here? and if I don't raise on the turn, exactly what do I plan on doing on the river? Raise to $5 - $5.75
Third best option raise on the flop. However, this might chase away hands that I'm beating and since I didn't raise preflop, I'll let him keep thinking that his hand is good until the turn. Raise to $2.50
Fourth best option: no raising - kinda what ahppened here.
Anyway, man, those are my choices and reasoning. Good luck and ask i fyou have any questions. If I don't respond, you can always PM me as well.

Thanks for the detailed response with the reasonings, Ensign, exactly what I was looking for.
I have been starting to reraise AK more often, will def do in future. I'll lean towards turn raise over flop raise depending on the villian.
I got done with that hand and I'm like "Darn it, I just played the roll of a calling station, ack".
Now watch yourself Ensign, you know they are always the first to get picked off!
