Standard. He never let you know you were beat. I would put him on the flush draw till he calls the river. No way to know. NH

hmmm...now that's just awkward.
I guess you have to adjust your play against this guy.
NH nice aggression - tough break.
You're raising AJo from early position - something I don't personally do, or if I'm gonna do it I expect to flop hard or let it go. I'm sure you would have considered that except that you improved on the turn.
You're slapping your balls out there on this one - which looks like a good line given opp's likely holdings - just soooo many calling stations at this level it may work out less frequently than at higher levels and more respectable denominations.

this is one case where you sometimes benefit from not just potting everything. the guy who's intent on just letting you bet the hand for him ends up with a smaller pot.
Still, his play is inexplicable, esp. at river.

.80 is a poor choice for a value bet. you are increasing the bet from the previous steet. that river appears to miss all draws, so you need to bet a smaller amount that he can call with a small piece.
id recommend that you not play aj like that oop, and dont make continuation bets oop when you have no read on opp. youre lucky he didnt push over the top on the turn.

80c is about half pot which i figured alot of hands less than my AJJ would call. i expected a call from a J worse kicker as well as lower PPs. Thinking back i should not have bet as pretty much all hands below AJ wont call or just plain wont be involved by now. The hands i can see in by now are PPs which have hit sets, or spades which have missed flushes (and will fold) or missed straight draws which will fold. The best hands that pay me are KJ, QJ or 10 J all of which will probably give up after a decent sized bet. I now think I should have checked and then called a reasonable sized "bluff" or folded. What should my thinking have been?

So did I. The point is do i check the river and call his "bluff" with his flush draw since he will fold a missed draw to a value bet. The more i think about this, the more i think the river should have been check/call
Edit: Le Fou im not sure i understand what you mean. I wanted to bet because i believed i was ahead (probably to the flush draw but maybe the straight draw or weaker Jack), however i didnt want to pot it as i didnt think there was a strong enough chance i was ahead and would be callled. Are you saying i did the right thing or the wrong thing? If you think i was wrong what should i have done instead?
