I still can't bring myself to lay this down at this level. This was so obvious it was painfull though. The second he min-raised I said AA, then he re-raised I said AA, then I was sure he had AA, and then I put him all in anyways, blaaa..

Who lays this down?

The next 24 times you get KK someone will not have AA, so enjoy that ride.

I still wouldn't lay it down because it could be QQ or AKs or even AQs or something at this limit.

I often find myself saying "bleh i know it, he has AA" and then he shows it down and i get mad at myself for not folding when i "knew" he had it. The fact is though, that its just pessimism. Since its' the only hand that can beat you it's the only hand that you're afraid of and therefore the hand that you begin to suspect.

It is very obvious that its a strong hand though, but not 100% concrete enough for me to lay down KK.

Jimmy - If the money was really only 50BB deep, you can't possibly make that laydown in a cash game.

You cannot lay down KK to AA under any circumstances at 25 NL. Its just flat out impossible. You can only think about doing it at 200 NL and higher. You should be happy to get your money all in everytime pre-flop with KK and these low stakes. Shit happens but most of the time you're ahead here.
BR now: $106900
Playing now: $10/10/20 - $20/40 NL live, $10/20 NL full ring online, $10/20 NL 6-max online, $20/40 FL 6-max online, $100/200 FL live
Goal: $125000 for $25/50 NL live

Now we're getting silly.

How about $25NL with .01 and .02 blinds?
How about $1000NL with $20/$40 blinds and a $5 ante?

fnord, have you been having a bad week or something? i think its pretty obvious what he meant

and, there have been a few big long threads about whether you should fold kk to aa ever. the last time one happened it was just a big he said she said shitfest, let's not get this going again. most people feel never fold kk to aa at lower limits under typical low limit circumstances. maybe you could if you know they're a super rock, or your stack is 200BB or something, but not often. at higher limits, it becomes more of a possibility. i personally am experimenting with seeing flops in situations where i really think they have aa.

You could argue that it was obvious what I had... Sometimes with KK you just have to pay AA off.

Sorry about that hand history, it's a mess. Twochas and I both had about 90BB. Surely though, if i think i am very likely beaten, then I should fold? I mean, in the hand I post, I reraise an early raiser, the next guy minraises that and the big blind raises again. How obvious does it need to be that one of them has the bullets? I know 100nl is soft, but this isn't play money... the shortstack did have A8 though

I could be completly wrong here, i admit

If i reraise someone pre flop at 100nl, how many players are capable of popping it back up with less then KK (assuming 100bb stacks)?

If it helps, I had the exact same thing happen to me just now... I knew he had the A's even as I was pressing the call button (immediately hit reload)... at this level I just couldn't let it go though, hell my net profit at 25/50NL with KK is over $500 (11 big bets/100 hands)... least I got that warm fuzzy feeling you get deep down when he flips over the As and you knew before he flipped em that he had em...
