I have been playing poker somewhat seriously for a couple months now...I though I was spoiled when I hit a King high straight flush out in Vegas two weeks ago. That is until this hand:
PokerStars Game #744057256: Tournament #2905238, Hold'em No Limit - Level IV
(50/100) - 2004/10/04 - 20:25:10 (ET)
Table '2905238 2' Seat #3 is the button
Seat 1: knish566 (2960 in chips)
Seat 3: less money (1745 in chips)
Seat 4: DavSimon (1752 in chips)
Seat 5: UKchon (2157 in chips)
Seat 7: L0stInSpace (2310 in chips)
Seat 8: dean57x (631 in chips)
DavSimon: posts small blind 50
UKchon: posts big blind 100
*** HOLE CARDS ***

dean57x: calls 100

DavSimon: checks
dean57x: bets 431 and is all-in
DavSimon: calls 431
L0stInSpace said, "lol"
*** TURN *** :Kd: :Td: :Qd: :Qs:
*** RIVER *** :Kd: :Td: :Qd: :Qs:
UKchon said, "wow"
knish566 said, "wow"
*** SHOW DOWN ***
DavSimon: shows :Jd: :Ad: (a Royal Flush)
dean57x: shows :Qh: :Kh: (a full house, Queens full of Kings)
DavSimon collected 1362 from pot
DavSimon said, "1st time for me"
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot 1362 | Rake 0
Board [Kd Td Qd Qs 6d]
Seat 1: knish566 folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 3: less money (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 4: DavSimon (small blind) showed [Jd Ad] and won (1362) with a Royal Flush
Seat 5: UKchon (big blind) folded before Flop
Seat 7: L0stInSpace folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 8: dean57x showed [Qh Kh] and lost with a full house, Queens full of Kings
I figured I would have to play for a very long time to be on the recieving end of a royal flush....and to flop it....and the flop hits my opponent with top 2 pair - I am spoiled forever now

No kidding....he was pretty short stacked, when he made that boat on the turn I could have really extracted some chips from a larger stack. Oh well - I am just happy I was on the good side of the royal flush.

Better yet, too bad it wasn't a cash game! Nice job!

When I get my first one, I definitely want it to be in a cash game. Hopefully not a .05/.10 limit game, but I am still known to play those so you never know.
NICE JOB!! Congratulations. Hope you got a screen shot.

Screen shot would have been nice...it all happened too fast so I did not get one
I play $.5/1 & $1/2 NL alot....so I agree it would have been nice to flop a royal flush in a cash game....but it was definately cool to actually get one - I am perfectly content w/ how it went down.
