I am always reading about the stupid donks who "call anything with any draw or any pair" and I think to myself, yeah I hate that and they always seem to catch something too. But today I think I turned into that donkey myself with this hand. But I ask, is this such a horrible play that I should drown myself, or is it just a bad play normal people make?

Only read on this guy was he seems like a solid player but he had been caught bluffing in one of the 30 or so hands ive played with him.

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

SB ($9.75)
BB ($7.80)
UTG ($25.70)
UTG+1 ($11.80)
MP1 ($12.65)
MP2 ($10.05)
Hero ($7.80)
CO ($10)
Button ($15.10)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J, Q. CO posts a blind of $0.10.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.10, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.10, CO (poster) checks, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($0.50) T, A, 4 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 bets $0.1, Hero raises to $0.5, CO folds, SB raises to $2, BB folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls $1.50.
What I was thinking: I have a gutshot straight draw and flush draw. If I get one it will probably be obvious so I will raise and either take it now or have a larger pot to go for....hmm SB either has AT,TT, or is trying to bluff again. Ive got 12 outs, 1 in 4 chance of hitting. Only 1 in 2 pot odds tho. GOD DAMNIT, Im not gonna let these guys bluff me out AGAIN.(I had to give up 2nd nuts to huge bets like 3 times and I might have been tilted).CALL.

Turn: ($4.60) 9 (2 players)
SB bets $7.65 (All-In), Hero calls $5.70 (All-In).
What I was thinking: Not a bad card but still doesnt give me anything...doh, doubt hes bluffing now, he must have TT. But now I have 16 outs...1 in 3? Win able pot is $10.40..only like 2 to 1 odds again..damnit, whatever.CALL.

River: ($17.95) 8 (2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $17.95

Results in white below:
SB has 4s 4c (three of a kind, fours).
Hero has Jd Qd (straight, queen high).
Outcome: Hero wins $16. SB wins $1.95.

I feel like such a dick with this hand. Like I just ran over someones dog or something. Please flame me and maybe I'll learn my lesson.

You have 9 outs for the flush, another 6 for the straight. That's 15 outs for almost certainly winning the pot. You need slightly more than 2 to 1 odds to call the turn bet, and you have slightly less. It's a very close call, but I think you should fold this turn.
My sig is too much for you to handle.

You're missing 22 bbs preflop..

The 9 gave you 3 more outs.. but meh, your fd might not even be live.. this could be A X a lot.. gotta fold the turn.

You also need more than 2:1 to justify a turn call.. it's a bit more than 3:1... assuming everything is live..

Thanks guys. You made me realise my math was wrong.
I was counting 9 suited cards for the flush and 4 kings or four 8s for the straight.
I never even thought that I was counting the king and 8 of diamonds twice. My odds were even worse than I thought.

I will likely get flamed, but I would raise to .50 in an unraised pot preflop. Makes the hand easier to play postflop, people will think you have the A. If they play back reasonably because they have an A, you have built a pot for your draw....

Also, consider the PF action. Consider that a lot of people will raise TT or AT, but a lot of people will limp as well. Check notes/stats on the player (get Poker Tracker if you don't have it) to see which type of player it is. 44 was the most likely limp.

i think at these stakes villains line could have been A with a medium kicker and made his 2 pair on the turn or river

one thing that i think should be said is just because he was caught bluffing 1 time doesn't make him a bad player - In Fact, I do this at tables - If I get caught bluffing, i will most likely be getting plenty of action from then on because a lot of people will think exactly like you did here - Don't let 1 hand dictate what you think about a player - If he has played 30 hands mostly solid and got caught bluffing 1 time, my guess is he's more likely a VERY good player -

As for the hand, I like the flop raise but once it's re-raised I let it go - the best card you can hope for is the non Diamond K for the gutshot straight...I never call all in on the turn there...too much money to give up and you only have 1 card to come - I would RATHER get all in on the flop (like re-raise all in after he raises you - in that case you have 2 cards to make your hand or he might fold) as that would be a good spot to semi bluff -
