Someone coming back that hard on a board like that would make me cautious. Aside from the four of a kind, and boat possibilities, he could have the higher flush.

Not sure what I would do. I've started giving people a lot more credit when I've got a low flush, and on a board like that when someone's betting that hard... ugh. I might make the call, but I wouldn't like it too much.

i fold this preflop.. you are out of position with a hand that needs alot of help.

villian actually played the hand correctly.. he put you on pair of aces or AK because you raised in EP .

agree with element,

You're out of position and that is not a great hand.

Your opponent should have fold it to but that doesn't excuse your hand. And with the fact that he followed you on your hard raise, you should have been very prudent.

Anyway, the mistake was done PF, then you felt in love with your flush draw and after you were committed to the pot..... msitake was done PF, in early position, better have great read on everybody to play these kind of hands.

Position is a lot more important than your hand

your going to hit the same percentage of flops whether you play all of your suited connectors in any position, or you only play them in position only.

hold off until you have position, every advantage you can possibley have going into a hand needs to be there because it only increases your chances of winning.

I don't think the preflop play is too bad, if $15 is a standard raise at that level. Bluffing preflop from early position with aware opponents can work.

I would have folded to the enormous reraise, though. The board is paired and he could have a higher flush. He called your preflop raise, usually meaning he has a small pocket pair or suited connectors.

Drawing to a flush with a paired board is a shaky proposition in my mind. I don't like paying to draw dead. (Or I guess in your case, to a 1 outer for a straight flush.)

I'd fold to the turn raise. If he's just calling your flop bet, I'd put him on the flush draw or something impervious to the flush. I don't like the way he played it, becuase AdKd is very possible... if I were him, I'd take that pot down right there.
