Them stacks are deep.

When you say tight. Do you mean too tight for Axs?

You're only afraid of AT or Axs.

Is he pushing with AT on a flush board?

Weird hand - I would call. If he has the straight or flush you have outs to beat that. Given the big pre-flop raise and the bets he was calling on the flop, it seems unlikely to me that he was in there with a draw - assuming he is actually "very tight" as you say. The only hand that really worries you is pocket kings, which is possible but unlikely.

Very tough hand. I'm pretty greedy so I might just call b/c that's a hell of a pot and you have a very good hand. You are only 6 handed which makes me even more inclined to fire away in this situation and discount the flush. Seeing how he is "very tight" KK is the worst case and quite possible but why no re-raise preflop. He was trapping w/ AA with As.

OTOH it might be a very good laydown with the possibility of better set, flush and wacky A10 str8.

However, there's a lot of action early in the hand which leads me to believe that they are not on a draw. I would prefer the push on the flop hoping to isolate the other dude and see what happens and ultimately my greed would force me to call.

Duke, I hoped you enjoyed your stay. You'll probably be bounced for that one. Thanks for the pic. Have a nice day.

I'm looking at this at work ass head.

For that "one." You need to venture out of HHH once in a while. :P

I like Duke's reply the best.

Well, after sitting for about 5 minutes and jabberring away at him trying to get a read, I decided that he would not have raised the flop with a flush draw and would not have called my re-raise with anything other than AA, KK, JJ, or QJ. I thought it was very possible that he has trip Jacks and was now trying to guard against me drawing to a flush. But I also had that horrible feeling that he hit his Kings. I sucked it up, called, and he did in fact have the Kings.

Is this just a horrible call by me or should this be easier to get away from? I asked him if I had pushed even harder on the flop and went all-in if he would have called and he said he would have. So nothing I could have done besides me folding was going to save me money. I know that I got it in when I had the best of it and made him pay to catch up, but then he made me pay when he did. Is this avoidable or is this just one of those rare situations you will encounter where you have to take your beating and move on?

BTW.....the other guy that was all-in that hand showed the 8s-5s and took the main pot down.

Titty pictures aside....No there was nothing you could do.

I had a run a week or so ago online where I had flopped sets busted 6-7 times in a row. I also faced the exact situation Monday. Koolmoe was at the table.

I raise standard preflop w/ 1010. About 2 more callers.
Flop comes 10rag rag rainbow. I bet pot and it was raised. I re-raise and it was called. Turn comes jack. I bet 1/2 pot or so and opponent raised. Well I put him on the overpair AA, KK or QQ so I come over the top AI.
Sure enough he had JJ for the better set.

Forget about it.
