Is this the way to go in 100BB games with semi-tight/passive nits? It just seems that no one wants to stack off in an unraised pot in these games.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

CO ($26.75)
Button ($47.75)
SB ($19.50)
BB ($20)
UTG ($35.95)
Fnord ($55)
MP1 ($70)
MP2 ($16.90)
MP3 ($71.80)

Preflop: Fnord is UTG+1 with 3, 3.
1 fold, Fnord raises to $2, MP1 calls $2, 1 fold, MP3 calls $2, 3 folds, BB calls $1.50.

Flop: ($8.25) Q, 3, 9 (4 players)
BB bets $0.5, Fnord raises to $7, MP1 raises to $13.5, MP3 folds, BB folds, Fnord calls $6.50.

Turn: ($35.75) K (2 players)
Fnord checks, MP1 bets $15, Fnord raises to $39.5, MP1 calls $24.50.

that raise is probably really good when you can get those calls preflop

and yes, the deep stack games can be tight as hell sometimes.
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

MP1 had AA and thought he would trap the Fnord who was raising 1-2 times per orbit and stealing everything on the table with a For Sale sign.

It was awefully nice of the BB to chip in 50c to help pay the rake...

I like playing PPs like this, although I don't normally raise from SB or EP...if I miss in LP I can try to take the pot right there or get a free card
Roll Rebuilding (for the second time). Current; $1600 from $300 (previous, $2300 from $15)

Fnord, I was playing at a weak-tight table last night and debating raising my small/mid PP's due to the nature of the table. Do you find its profitable to play the small - mid pocket pairs to a raise at these tables? Are you still playing the pairs for set value or do you try to take down pots with a good sized bet even if you miss?
