Game is $10 NL FR on PP. Villain is maniac loose, he got lucky on his first 10 or so hands and had a stack of around $50 pretty quickly playing very loose. Since then he has played even looser (if thats possible!) and his stack soon dwindled back down to around $23. He liked to lead out the betting on every street, and if it got to the river, would shove in a huge overbet if he sensed weakness. Given this read on him I played this hand v passive to let him get on with it. I guess some will say I should have bet/raised the turn and bet out on the river, but I wanted to give him the chance to do his usual over bet.

Hero????

Go for the stack here or largish raise? Im hoping he actually flopped the flush but I'm not convinced, if he doesnt have the flush I think he will prob fold if I push it all in. If I raise up say $6-7, he will prob shove if he has the flush, 5,5 8,8 or call if he has say 2pair or trip Qs.

Thoughts?

fold preflop

as played push, cause any raise you make if he has no flush or Q will fold. and the only hand that beats you is Q9.

Lead turn or if you really want to let him bet, c/r turn. After the second Q hits, you're only getting money from Q's, flushes and lower full houses. These hands are probably giving you their stack, so you should try to extract as much from them as you can. Check/calling the turn doesn't do it. River is tough, a shove is probably too big to get called, but if villain is as loose as you say, I don't hate it. I think I prefer a raise to ~$10 though.
