Villain was 39/2/1...I put him on a big pair based on the pre-flop action. The flop and river calls were pretty weak I know but the river check-raise was meant for KK/JJ and hoping he didn't have QQ

Actually, I don't like anything about this hand really. Hero c/f flop instead?

Blinds: $0.12/$0.25

Stack sizes:
UTG: $25
UTG+1: $55.99
MP1: $33.14
MP2: $25
CO: $21.36
Button: $28.38
Hero: $25
BB: $17.21

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is SB with Ad K♣
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $1, 2 folds, CO calls, Button folds, Hero raises to $3.5, BB folds, UTG+1 calls, CO calls.

Flop: Qd 5d 4♣ ($10.75, 3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $3, CO folds, Hero calls.

Turn: 4d ($16.75, 2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $4, Hero calls.

River: A♥ ($24.75, 2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $6, Hero raises to $14.38, UTG+1 calls.

39/2 over how many hands? I don't like re-raising someone who only raises 2% of his hands with AKo, esspecially oop....

The whole hand was played pretty poorly but I think the river is the worst part. I would have c/c as played, c/r folds out all the hands you mentioned he might have that you beat and every other hand that beats you calls.

Preflop reraise is iffy if the opp plays so many hands but so rarely raises. Being OOP makes things tougher too.

Of all things - if you repop so hard preflop, you mustmustmust cbet the flop come hell or high water. You represented big strength preflop. Ya gotta represent

On the flop, you don't have pot odds to call the bet, nor do you on the turn.

if you are going to reraise him preflop, go ahead and put out a cbet of $7 on the flop and if called/raised, go into c/f mode.
