I have on newbie blind.. limp pot, 4 players including myself

Flop:
guy bets min, one guy calls.. not liking my kicker i think i might just take it there, or alternatively, find out if someone has the 7 and is beating me. I raise to the pot.

fold, call, call

turn is

now my kicker is improved so i'm happy again.. only worry being the possible FH, checks to me. The pot is now healthy and i'm happy with its size but i bet the pot to reduce odds on the flush, both players call. one is now AI.

River is blank and again the guy checks. So maybe he's slowplaying the FH? I decide he isnt, I think the other player may have it (who is already AI). But i think the guy will call and i'll beat him so i decide to boost the side pot a bit and I put the guy AI.. for a now very healthy side pot.

he calls and they both muck and i take down the whole pot.. very nice outcome i thought.. but here's the punch line..

One of the other players at the table compliments me on an excellent slow play

Anyway.. as i read over the hand I'm not sure but it seems alittle mistakish on my part.. maybe its not.. i find that those bb special hands that are good enough to get involved with have a tendancy to get beat. What do you guys rekon?
villain goes AI
i call with a set (i have him owned)
i win pot
villain: **** this, this site is bullshit, ******* rigged, suck out ****

The ace on the flop would be very appealing to me especially with 4 other players in the pot, chances are someone limped in with some kind of an ace either low suited ace or something like ATo, raise on the flop and find out who has it and how far they are willing to go with it.

You played it fine. The chances of someone having a 7 with either a higher kicker than a T or one that matches the board are slim enough that I think you need to pay off a FH or better kicker here.
