I like the flop stuff; opp was tricky in not-pushing after a couple reraises, which is what one ought to do.

I don't like the turn push. Not right out the gate like that. You know he's got something tasty. Your immense bet can ONLY be called by the made flush or something else that beats you.

Ideally, you want to be playing bottom 2pair for overcalls behind you -- i.e. calling all the way down but limping and letting others build the pot in case you are in fact way ahead. But in NL that option isn't usually available to you.

Yeah, ender through all of your history posts I have noticed that you seem to enjoy to push all in unprovoked, almost out of the blue. I would definitely try to slow down, it is pretty obvious that after 2 RR this guy has something that could beat AJ, which basically means he beats you. Just my .02 though, I'm sure some maniacs would play like that with just AJ.

Some thoughts here...

- Pretty tough to see these baby trips, esp. with that random two pr that you like to think is a winner...that's poker.
- Did you have any read on the skill level? Tricky, tight, etc? If I'm you in that position, and an "aware" player calls the re-raise, I'm probably getting nervous.
- The other thing is that the board hit a 3rd heart on the turn. Not the best time to push imo, in the case that he ran a big semi-bluff on the flop. Personally, I love this play...
- You are out of position with a flush-board and he called your raises twice. With your turn AI, you didn't give him a chance to make a mistake at all. If he's got a flush or trips or JT, he calls most of the time. Remember the fundamentral theorem of poker...
- Along the same lines, your turn play is not consistent with your flop play given the board texture. You pushed hard like you were punishing a draw, then you went AI when it hit. If he's aware, he won't put you on the flush...obviously he didn't.

When he reraises a check-raise, you should probably figure him for at least two pair on the flop, which means he's probably ahead. I'd try to have a cheap showdown, and maybe consider folding if the hand becomes too expensive.

ChezJ is an unknown quantity at this point
 when he re-raises your check-raise, i immediately put him on a set or top 2pr (JT, a very playable hand). both of which destroy your bottom 2pr. check the turn and pray he gives you a free look at the river. (he may, if he puts you on a higher set or the flush draw.)

but i am biased because i very recently clobbered a guy's 2pr with a set of 4's and the flop looked nearly the same (4c Jc 6d).
