villain seems like a solid tag in the 19/10ish mold. is preflop too spewy? What about flop, how is a call to see a cheap turn? This hand had me so lost.

preflop is fine
if hes good, i think he has a monster on the flop (at worst, AQd), but likely a set or the straight. i dont raise his flop bet, i call and hope to hit. good players dont lead into the reraiser without a hand.

honestly those were my thoughts exactly when I was reviewing the hand afterwards. He had TT. Kd turn, Q river. Boat beats a flush, unfortunately.

yea what were you thinking raising your draw when you had no folding equity AND knowing that another reraise was likely because he was so strong?????

I don't completely mind the reraise preflop with position but I'm less aggro than you, so I just call and call the flop. Gotta exercise some pot control if you don't hit.

I fit that 19/10 mold pretty closely. I would NOT fire at that pot unless I wanted to protect my set. 90% of the time you are facing a set and the other 10% a straight. Most of the time you are better off calling the flop and jamming the turn.

I agree with this
edit: except the part about the made straight, which is of almost no concern to me.

i like preflop reraise with position and stacks at 175~ bbs.
erm, i think opps preflop range is predictable which means his weak lead is a monster.
i see two lines
1. reraise flop and then its all going in regardless almost definatly as a 40/60 dog
2. call flop push turn. Will you get called? probably if opp cant put you on QQ or two diamonds.
However when he sees wat u have he'll get wtfpwned unless hes lucky on the river.
If you push the turn btw and he calls with the set, reraise him a hell of a lot more. This guy will pay that style an awful lot.
