Was checking the turn a bad idea, I was going to drop the hammer on the river, especially with that river card. But he just checked to me. I wonder if the pot size bet was too much. I figured he had to have a piece of it since he called my +pot size bet on the flop.

I think you played it ok.TP shouldn't be slowplayed esp KQo as many people play any Ace and that would blow you out the water.Looks ok to me.

Nothing can be done differenly. Played it well with pos and he just didn't really have a hand.

If you want to get more money in, you should have bet less on the flop so worse hands (Qx, 64, etc) can call you. On the turn, a straight just completed, but it's still doubtful that he had exactly 64, so, I'd still bet out to induce a call for the same reasons he called on the flop. Make him pay for his draws and think that his Q9 is good. River, valuebet 1/2 pot.
