i think that if you're holding the flush and the board pairs up its time to slow down

think about what hands would come over the top of your raise on the turn. A high flush at the worst

Better question is how do you get involved in that hand. But saying that you do then after the turn (obvious scare card) if there is a lot of interest you may want to check call to the showdown.
You should never wave at people you don't know, cause what if they don't have a hand. They'll think you're cocky. "Look what I got motherfucker, this thing is useful, I'ma go pick somethin up."

Yup, that's what me thinks too. It seems that every time I play a hand like this and hit it hard...I always run into somebody that hits something harder.

Gotcha. Just posting this hand helps me realize how easy this should have Been to get away from. Paired Board, non-nut flush, is not the place to go AI.
