Ugly Ed
I flopped Nut Flush draw plus had gut shot. I thought it would be a good time for a semi-bluff. Which I dont Bluff to often, but I have been working on getting better at Bluffing. So I have been trying it more often. Plus I had alot of outs. Also I had been at this table for quite awhile I had a huge chip stack. I hadnt been caught in any Bluffs. Actually I had made alot of folds and won almost all my showdowns. I thought to anyone paying attention I had a tight image.

I was hoping to make it look like I had TP and was blocking the Flush draw. I thought by repping TP blocking the flush draw. If the Flush card did hit. I would win a big pot by either A) My opponent makes a Flush and believes they are in the lead. B) Opponent thinks the Flush card is a scare card for me and tries to Bluff me. If the Flush or Str8 card doesnt hit and my opponent misses his Flush draw. I could still win by repping TP or better.

Anyway hows my play? What would you do different? Whats my play on the River?

I think my Flop bet was to small. Although it was almost the size of the Pot. It was only 2$.

So the order is: limp/call, check/call, check/call, weaksauce river bet. If I (or any sane person) had a busted flush (which is all you can hope for here) I'd have pushed by now. $3.40 into a ~$20 pot on the river? Villain has like $7 left after this? Either 15% he absolutely sucks or 85% he hit his boat and has you crushed. Or has 2 pair. Does it really matter? You have spit, and you can't scare him by offering him like 5:1 odds on the AI ($7 to win like $33) if you push.

Call the crappy bet and see what he shows down and at least use all this lost money for showdown knowledge. Too small to fold for the pot, and he's begging for a raise.

you can also make a real reraise pf. especially since there was already one caller. that way you can make a bigger bet on the flop, and if you want you can push him in on the turn. it may end up costing you more, but then you dont have to ask what to do on the river. plus there is the outside chance that he will fold, either pf or on the turn.
