Oh my god, you win my entire bankroll by going all in preflop with AA once.

I believe it. I started on the $2 at Paradise and then went to $2 at Ultimate Bet, then $10 at Ultimate Bet and now $25 at Empire. I was encouraged to move up through the assistance in these forums. I still have lots of leaks but I am finding the $25 at Empire easier than all the rest (only 200 hands so far - day 1). Go figure! Got a bankroll of $500 and quickly losing my fear at these levels. I'll be up on the $100's with you soon. I had to really tighten my starting hands but I am constantly amazed at what people play. The $10 at Ultimate Bet was the hardest.

Crazy you got called, but what prompted you to go all-in in the middle position with no initial callers? Had you stolen the blinds in previous hands and pissed this guy off? I bet 3xBB with that hand in .25/.50 and everyone folds.

I went all in 2 times before that with AA both times and that guy had the blind both times and thought about calling...the first time I told him I had AJ s00ted and the second time I said I had JQ s00ted so I was fairly sure if he had anything he would call and luck has it he had AQ s00ted

That explains it. However, why did you go all-in the other times?

B/C People somehow get the idea that if you go all in like that you are somehow trying to "steal" the blinds.....It's like they have some crazy idea you are trying to steal 3 bucks with a 100+ dollar bet it is just fun.

I see your point. I don't get AA/KK often enough at one table to use that strategy. Maybe I should change my name to ILikeAAandKK.

LOL, I hope you're not talking about the .05/.10 NL ($10 buy in) at UB.
If so I've got to start playing elsewhere. hehe

That's the one. 280 hands 11.43BB/100 hands. I gave up. It was like walking through mud.

Going all in with pocket aces and pocket kings pre flop is just begging to lose your whole stack on the party poker network.

You should play those hands very passively and fold to any bets.
