I think I am being weak, but a 5+ buy-in downswing will do that to you. Villian is shifting gears between LAG and TAG. All of his PFR's seem smallish. He likes to min-raise pre-flop. Other than that he seems mostly competent. 1.5 hrs ago I let him push me off mutliple pots with re-raises and c-bets. I backed him off, by re-raising his raise and showing down a good hand. Haven't run into him in about 45 mins. He has been TAGGY since. He must have some respect for me.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

MP1 =#A500AF(Villian)/ ($31.85)
MP2 ($21.10)
MP3 ($49)
CO ($26.90)
Hero ($34.55)
SB ($10.05)
BB ($5.60)
UTG ($7.50)
UTG+1 ($16.55)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5, 5.
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP1 =#A500AF(Villian)/ raises to $0.5, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.50, 2 folds, UTG calls $0.25.

Flop: ($1.85) 5, 8, K (3 players)
UTG bets $1, Villian raises to $2,
[b]What do you do here, raise or smooth call? If raise, how much?[\b]
Hero raises to $5[/color], UTG folds, Villian raises to $8, What now? Raise, push, call & reevaluate?
Hero calls $3.

Turn: ($18.85) T (2 players)
Villian bets $10, Hero ?????
Push, fold? I am concerned about the KK & 88 with min-raise pre-flop. Pre-flop min-raise isn't uncommon for this villian though.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

Easy turn push.

If he has KK or 88, pay him.

When you are 3-betting the flop, raise more. If he's minraising with some sort of draw like 67 or 2 crubs hes getting good odds to call. Also, since you were raised, he likely has some sort of hand. You have to assume at this point that he likes his hand but yours is better than his so you should raise to more than $5 because it is likely he will call.

and if you raised more on flop and he still re raised you again i would just push there

He probably has AK, KQ or a flush draw. Push--don't give hima chance to see his 3rd club w/o all his chips in the middle.

PUUUUUUUUSSSSSHHHHHHHHH and show him what ya got!!!!!!Apparently everyone agrees your hand is similar to my KK laydown where you should probably be ahead and if he has it then just pay off.If he does have it I would take a week off due to the 6x buyin downswing(I'm currently running a 3x buyin downswing or net 1 buyin due to my Fri suckouts.

Thanks for the input.
Hero pushed turn, Villian called and flipped over AKos. I took it down.
Hard to believe, but I actually gave serious thought to laying this down. Silly rabbit. Thanks all.

Easy turn push. Why bother fishing for a set when you're not willing to play for stacks when you hit?
