Yup.

OP, how do you think KJo matches up against an utg raiser's range?

Hi,

UTG could raise here with pockets TT,JJ,QQ,KK,AA + AQs,AKs

Thanks guys for input. I had a very tight table image here (played
long time in this table). So I had late position to call 1.05 at 4 dollar
pot giving me great odds even though my holdings were pretty weak.

In early position i would have folded KJ off. Do you think my
preflop call was clear error? Given the nearly 4-1 pot odds?

I got 2nd to nuts fl draw and decided to play strong because I knew
villain was quite weak tight.

Flop bet was just called so I decided to fire 2nd barrel after turn
AK,KK was only holdin i was probably loosing and additional
bonus was 2nd to nuts redraw. So I estimated my likelihood winning
here 60-70%.

I won this but afterwards got me thinking is this kind of play a
+EV or -EV long term?

Dont be fooled by immediate odds, especially when you will be plaing OOP the rest of the hand. You really shouldnt bet that flop w/o NFD.

I'm with Pingviini here and I think you allude to it a bit yourself ....

You won't play KJo from EP .... why not?
Is the answer because you don't want to get raised and play it OoP in a raised pot? If so, how is this different to doing so out of the blinds?

yes the preflop call is abysmal. Think of all the times you lose a big pot here and how often you win a big pot (almost never).

it's actually the 4th nut draw where you could be drawing dead, you have no idea where you are at if you hit, and instead of implied odds this draw has terrible reverse implied odds. And I love being agressive, but leading this flop into so many players with nothing is just spewing.

how do you win 60-70% of the time against that range? 10% maybe? depends on his suits.
