MP1 seems LAG but only been at the table for 10 hands
BB seems even more loose and just as aggressive (89% VPIP but only 7 hands)

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

SB ($35.30)
BB ($20.45)
UTG ($9.90)
UTG+1 ($30.45)
MP1 ($40.75)
Hero ($24.75)
MP3 ($9.65)
CO ($24.40)
Button ($27.45)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J, J.
2 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1, 1 fold, CO calls $1, 1 fold, SB calls $0.90, BB calls $0.75, MP1 calls $0.75.

Flop: ($5) Q, 9, 8 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, Hero checks, CO checks.

Turn: ($5) 6 (5 players)
SB checks, BB bets $0.75, MP1 calls $0.75, Hero raises to $4.50, CO folds, SB folds, BB calls $3.75, MP1 calls $3.75.

River: ($18.50) K (3 players)
BB checks, MP1 bets $12, Hero folds, BB folds.

Final Pot: $30.50

I thought BBs weak bet looked like a flush draw and I felt like finding out. That river bet looks like a value bet from...?

What are you representing when you check this super draw-heavy flop in a 4-way pot, then come out firing on the turn? An aware player would know that you are FOS here. If I check this flop, I am essentially giving up on the pot. On the turn, either make a weak call or a weak fold, and fold to any substantial river bet, unless you hit a J or a T.

I was expecting the river to be headsup against the guy with the draw. Im very sure BB was on either a straight or flush draw. I see that bet all the time and usually its a draw that either folds, or calls and misses...but usually its not 4 way. I felt I was in position to check behind the river and they seemed weak. I think it was poor judgment doing it against so many players.

Would you have bet the flop or just given up?

As the preflop raiser with decent position and a draw I probably lead for $3.5 on the flop, just to get information on what I'm up against. I play this one carefully though, since the pot is already pretty big and you only have 3 clean outs for a better hand. A check/fold is perfectly acceptable too, I think. No real reason to get involved in a big pot with such a marginal hand on a draw heavy board, unless you spike a non-spaded T.
