OK, so admitedly I got a bit worried by the number of callers (5). Up to this point, I had only raised by $1.5 and $2 so I thought a $3 raise would push a few people out preflop.

I figured there would be someone with a flush/straight draw, so I bet $15 thinking that the only callers I would get would be either QK, AK, set of 6s and maybe a flush/straight drawer... was this OK thinking?

The pot is big enough for you to take down right there. There is a flush draw out, plus possible broadway draws. I would bet the pot here. I think you played it fine.
