In the middle of my hour session tonight, I had the first of the following 5 hands within 5 minutes of each other. The 6th hand was earlier in the session. Anyways I wanted to take this opportunity to work on my set play. It isnt instinctual yet for me, and I know I probably made some mistakes. Overall I just played them really hard and didnt have a whole lot of time to think about each play due to my 7 tabling. I didnt have time to write down my reads, I am retrospectively looking up their PT stats. Please comment!

Hand 4 I was trying to keep the lagg on the hook, I knew it was a bet he would call. A definite tell, cuz i never bet that way with anything but a made hand. I think its a habit I need to break, agreed? What bets should I have done in its place? or should I have just slowplayed/checked?....

i think most would agree to usually bet 1/2 - 3/4 pot no matter what you hold. maybe on the river a case can be made for a smaller bet. if they are on a draw you don't want them to be correct in calling your bet. if they have a real hand then you put them to a tough decision and it makes it easier to get all the money in when they have a 2nd best hand.

jeez, i really need help with sets. I like how i played this on the pf/flop. the turn / river is a desperation call. I actually put him on an over pair on the flop, and planne don pushing the turn. his blocking bet threw me off. I should have pushed ai right there..

ya i don't think a flush draw plays this way on the flop. i'd probably push the turn.
