As my first post I would like to say thank you for having me on this site it. I have been reading on here for a while and alot of great info. I have been playing NL for about 3 years now and consider myself a really good player. I have played in 2 turnys in Vegas one with 300 pep buying in and i took 1st the other had about 160 pep and i took 4th. Ok now my problem. I am in the military and live in Guam there is no brick and morter casinio's here so I have to find other games. I finnaly found a game downtown It is 1-2$ NL. The average person buys in with $100-$300. The problem I am having is that there are two people that will call any hand. It does not matter what cards they get PF they will auto call a raise of $10. Right now I just call when I have any PP if i hit i make good money if i dont i fold. I also play any suited AX and if the kicker is good i keep if not i fold if i dont hit the flush. I fell i have to play so tight at this game to make any cash. One problem I have is I get say QK bet comes to me it is already 10$ I have started with $100 so should I Raise? If i raise to $20 they are going to call these guys have thousands so money does not mean much to them lol. Right now i have been just calling the $10 and going from the flop. If i hit on the flop i will Raise to about $25 and will get called all the way to the river. If i want to stop a draw i go all in with many times a fold from them. Any help would be appreciated on how you would Handle this. These guys have some cash I i could make a killing at this game. The average winner of the night takes home about $1200.

Thanks

Seems like you already know what to do. Play tight, don't bluff, bet your good hands.

Well the reason I am running this by you guys is to help me make even more. Maybe there is someone in the same type of games. I usually make about $300 a night off of them. Most of my playing has been all Turny style so ring games are diff for me. A good poker player will allways be learning and taking some advice from some of you that have already proven yourself in the poker world. When i say i consider myself good is that i hardly ever lose at a game. If I do it is a bad beat. Well all have the stupid calls we make some times but we also learn from that. I have found a game were the average income per player is 6 fig. I have managed to pull about $1400 out of them this week. So all I was asking was for anyone with any input to maybe give me something that I have never thought about. Should I always reraise with say KQ or AK. Even though I know they could have anything in there hand. I see them hit alot of 2 pairs and str8's due to holding crap cards. I know the #'s are in my favor and they will lose more draws then win but I have a mental block cause i think im holding the best hand and get raised $40. To find out that he had second pair and I folded.

If the type of player you were talking about

a) Calls to much on all streets
b) Doesnt raise anywhere near enough themselves

The IMO you should group your hands into 2 groups.

Hands you want to be allin with preflop

AA, KK, QQ (maybe add more depending on exactly how lose they play). These guys should be raised as much as theyll call. If you can get them to call a $25 raise when you have $100 stack then you can probably push any flop profitably.

The rest

All other hands should be considered drawing hands IMO. See plenty of cheap flops with hands like KQ, QJ, 67, 57 etc. Once you make a good hand (i.e. 2 pair or better) you can pretty much overbet the later streets and get them to call.
Theres no point raising preflop to build a pot when they will stack of with a pair in an unraised pot anyway.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?
