Additional Information:

I seem to have a problem putting people on hands, I'm just not learning something right. At least a handful of times per day I have a reasonable hand (TPTK etc) when i bet the flop bet the turn and either get raised there or on the river. I'll generally call minraises but when I bet $5 and someone raises to $15 I almost never call. Some examples are above.

At this exact limit, how often are people really bluffing as it *seems* they are a lot of the time, to me. If someone bets the pot on the river or overbets at any given stage - I have no idea what that means!!

It's extremely frustrating and I have no idea how to approach this differently. People view me as the ultra-tight player at every single table I'm at and I think I'm grossly being taken advantage of through bluffs!

PLEASE HELP!!

I muck all of those.

Hand 1) I check/fold the turn. Not worth the $5 (I'll use a dollar sign)

Hand 2) I think the easiest laydown. The turn brought both the flush and the one-card straight with a jack. I think he's got a flush.

Hand 3) I think Fnord would say "you have to call that sometimes." I say fold it this time. I don't usually pay off when people hit the flush. If they're bluffing, okay, they drew without odds to TRY and bluff me. If they make a smaller raise I probably call.

Hand 4) I think the first 10.50 was put in behind. If he doesn't have a flush, he's surely at least got you kicked. I think he has a flush. Easy river fold.

I've been playing 100NL lately, and I don't feel like (most) of the players are big bluffers. They overestimate hand strength a lot (I'm one of those), but raises in a medium sized pot are usually pretty big raises. I wouldn't expect you to win any of the above hands if you called.

so what do you think of overbets like the $10 on $8 pot? I find those ridiculous. If you have a good hand and want a call you WILL make a value bet, that is NOT a value bet

strikes me that often when you see players do that a couple times against you they are EITHER bluffing or have a strong hand and want you to call thinking it's a bluff. Either way tough scenario

how about the following hand:

Miffed22001 is on a distinguished road
Betting KK on an ace high flop is -ev imo. You raise preflop and get a call. Put opp on a few hands, AQ maybe AJ AKis also possible, but you would expect a reraise or a pp. Being first to act here i would check it, let opp define his hand. The point i would make here is that if opp has the ace then if the flush hits you have a bluff oppertunity. Otherwise its an easy fold if he bets i guess.
2nd hand id bet hard. If u get a cold call then you could be up against AJ or a drawer. Noone else stays in this pot if you play it hard.#
hand3. you have to call here. Too easy for opp to have a flush or two pair. If he goes around calling raises with QT then u wanna play more poker with him! The only hand i fear here is AQ, if he has the flush again get him labelled.
Hand4 reraise here or fold. SImple. look for cheap showdown. Checking the river is soooo bad!
