only that the villain was still stewing over a previous hand where I reraised him from the blinds. This probably affected his judgement: "ha, I'll show him this time" and resulted in overplaying QQ

What kind of moron makes that play when the only hands that are going to call him are KK and AA? What a dumbass.

So...like I'm a total n00b at this poker thing. I saw it on T.V. and thought it might be fun. I play NL pennies .01/.02
I was reading this thread and I'm surprised at the reaction Demitri got for re-raising with AA from some board members. I must be fundamentally mistaken about how you would play this hand and maybe the game in general.
I would re-raise with AA as well. My logic being (or probably lack thereof as it seems) would be to "protect" my hand from being outdrawn. If anyone could constructively critique why I'm wrong in this thinking and how you would go about playing it better it would be greatly appreciatted.

You misunderstood us I think.
The guys above me were asking why he bothered to post such a boring hand. They were not doubting how he played it. He made the right play. It was just such a basic play that none of us really cared about it and wondered why he would post it.
And I was calling his opponent a moron for going over the top all in with QQ.

Ahhh...alrighty. I must've misunderstood. Although I think smooth calling with AA, if you have a solid read on someone (heads up) isn't totally out of the question. That would definitely be an exceptional case as opposed to the norm.

Sorry for posting such a boring hand. I felt it was interesting because of the context a previous hand, but I guess you had to be there. Carry on.

People get really upset if you post "boring hands".
I got your point about the guy getting over aggressive by getting reraised. Reriase them 3-5 times in a row and they'll often push with medium hands just to take you out. I actually posted a similar "boring hand" recently. But I put it on Tales of Poker though, so no one would read it and find it boring
