I've been playing for about 2/3 months now, mostly SNG's and MTT's (cheap or free rolls on Empire, also just set up with Party to play the steppers mainly). I've just bought poker tracker and am working through old hands. I'm finding i do ok with the SNG's (place and win enough to be ahead) but that i then lose any profit playing (or trying to play) ring games.

Just so I am actually on the right track, these two hands - 1 good decision and 1 awful decision right? (same end result) or should I have folded the kings? I can't see how that isn't a situation where if I don't lose it all I played it wrong?

Just looking for a bit of perspective from wiser heads at the moment. Ta.

Hand 1

(vilmach and fossil41 were raising a lot pre flop. The fact that i played very few hands early on in the session meant that if I put in decent raises then they'd often fold there and then - hence the small inital raise - I felt pretty sure one of them would come back over the top.)

(As extra info for this one, I felt that vilmach and fossil41 were bullying people off pots a lot of the time, I had been playing very tight and folding what I felt were 'potentially' good hands to big raises so I guess a lack of patience / discipline meant amateur hour kicked in.)
