I never know how to play this. Generally, I fold in this situation. Should I call that flop bet, and if so, then what? Do you play this differently, is there a good way to play this differently, or do you just have to accept hands like this and move on?

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, 9. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
4 folds, CO calls $0.50, Button calls $0.50, 1 fold, Hero raises to $2.25, CO calls $2.25, Button folds.

Flop: ($6.25) 2, 3, T (2 players)
Hero bets $4, CO raises to $8, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $18.25

I call and bet out 12 out on the turn, folding to a raise.

Also I check this in the BB most of the time.

Did you not find that minraises at NL50 usually signify strength? That's been my experience, anyway.

Thats appears to be the "ha ha I made a good read on your missed overs and I know my 44 is good" minraise.

If he had a set he'd just call prob. The only real possibility I can see here is a ten.
