If I had to pick a hand in my life that I thought was the best played by me, it would be this hand that I played about 3 minutes ago lol. Check out the reraise with 98s heh... had an OESD on the flop, and OESFD on the turn.. Because he was so scared he just gave me the river free, critical in allowing me to destack him. The guy thought his trip jacks were good, but no no no heh

comments?

I'd consider betting the turn.

What would that have accomplished? I wasnt going to bluff him out of the pot. I was the 65-35 dog at the time. What I wanted was the free card, since I knew if I hit he'd probably pay me off. Why put money in on the turn when im the dog compared to the river where if i hit, im the 100-0 favorite lol

How can't you get op to fold on the turn? It smells like aces the whole way down.

He's a calling station that will call anything with a decent piece of the board (which he had).. why do you think he called the raraise with J9s out of position in the first place? Why do you think he called the flop bet? Why did he call the river all-in? heh

the point in betting the flop is to get a free card on the turn. checking the turn was the right play.

i like checking the turn. your opponent will bet on river sensing weakness, which gives you a chance to win a really huge pot when you hit with your strong draw on river. betting turn might give him a chance to check raise you an ammount that you can't possibly call when you really want to see the river.

If your read says he calls, then you check and everyone is g00t.

But most calling stations hate constant aggression.
