There is no official hand history since this is from B&M. I remember this hand well, for one of two reasons: its the hand that made me, or the one that broke me (youll find out).

It was early on in a tournament. Everyone has similar chip stacks. Im leaving suits out because flop was rainbow and it didnt matter in the hand.

Im BB and get dealt: A K
Few callers. I raise 4x BB
2 Caller.
FLOP: 6, 7, K

I bet 8x BB
NextGuy: Min re-raises.
Fold
Me: Call

TURN: K
Me: All-in (about 20 BB)

He thinks about it for a few seconds, checks his cards..
Him: Call

River: 10

If he doesn't insta call, you're probably ahead.

Did you think you were ahead on the flop with that minraise?

Does he raise to lead people in or does he make poor raises with bad hands?

Precisely.

Like I said it was early on so I didnt have any reads on him. He'd only played a few other hands and I recall him min re-raising at least twice before. The hands never went to showdown and he always won,the other player always folded then or on another street.

What's the problem here? If he has 66 or 77 you are screwed. When the trip kings comes out you can't escape the hand. Either he has KQ and you're going to win a lot or he has 66 or 77 and you're going to be kicking yourself.

Ill wager money he had either 1010 or k10 and caught that river.

He flips over.... (insert drumroll here)....
pocket 7's.

Im curious if this is just one of those situations were im going to lose all my money regardless of how it was played. Should I have folded to his min re-raise..?
