I probably could have taken him for alot more of his stack, but the 3 spades worried me a little bit. I just found it hilarious that he was talking trash in the chat with no hand. I guess it goes along with the whole strong is weak/ weak is strong theory

I think he put you on a 2 or 3 (or hoping you had a 2 or a 3) and figured you were repping the 8, so he wanted you to stick with your weaker pair in hopes of cashing in. Naturally, he was dead wrong.

You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

I dont like your play on this hand. But you probably made more money off it then I would have. You flopped TPTK, w/ 2 cards to a flush on the board. I would have came out w/ pot size, possibly more to elminate anybody drawing. On the turn you then bet 100 in to a pot that is greater than 300...giving pot odds to a draw.

If I was in his seat I would have assumed you were on the draw...If i was him I would have re-raised 200 or so...you are repping that you have a 2,3 or hoping to hit the flush by the way you bet. It's a confusing play, and you are very lucky he didn't hit the flush, cause he would have been correct in calling on both the turn and the river.

I'd say he was correct in calling all but the river, when the spade hit I'd been out of dodge, but my re-raise would have made up for the money he lost...he was destined to lose what he lost. You can't play Poker assuming somebody hit an 8.

yeah, i dont doubt that i probably "played it wrong" I was a little worried he was on the flush draw, and usually no sized bet will make people fold once they've flopped 4 to the flush so in reality i guess i was playing a gun shy from being outdrawn so many times in the past.

Let them try to outdraw you with horrible odds, everytime they hit they'll miss 2 times. You'll be victorious more times than not. Just play the odds and you'll be a winning poker player....over time .
