Did I play this like a fish, or is this guy just an Ass?

Button ($11.85)
SB ($3.40)
BB ($10.15)
UTG ($10)
MP1 ($10.30)
Hero MR Happy333 ($9.50)
Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K , J .
1 fold, MP1 calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.4, 2 folds, SB calls $0.35, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.30.
Flop: ($1.30) T , 6 , 9 (3 players)

River: ($6.70) Q (2 players)
MP1 bets $0.6, Hero raises to $2, MP1 calls $1.40.
Final Pot: $10.70
Results in white below:
MP1 has Kd Ts (two pair, queens and tens).
Hero has Ks Js (straight, king high).
Outcome: Hero wins $10.70.
So my new strategy was to raise alot more hands that I have been playing, Then after I won the hand the dude went off the hook on me, telling me I was playing trash, blah,blah,blah,
It may not have helped during all this I said, "shhhhhhhh, I'm counting my chips"

I think it's fine to play that hand preflop. I would have raised 4xbb +1bb for the limper infront of you instead of only going to 4xbb. I think the misstake was calling the gutshot draw on the flop.

Raise is ok, unless you always get a log of callers. I'm thinking 50c needs to be your standard raise at these stakes.
Flop call is meh, could be T9, could be flush draw.
Turn you need to raise a lot more. You're giving the flush draw odds to chase and giving up value vs everything else. The pot is $4 and he has to call $1.2. Make it $4 leaving <PSB on river. River push or don't raise (as played a push is a little big, work on building the pot better).
Don't post results, you know this. Don't listen to table coaches, especially at 10NL. He played his hand very very poorly, don't ever tell him that.

Preflop is fine if your getting calls like KTo, but the flop call is realy bad.

Its fine. Flop call is fine. Your K or J will win quite often and you can sometimes buy it when hes weak and a flush card comes or sometimes stack him when hes not and you hit. Im not sure why people are saying the flop call is soooo bad. I cant see how it can ever be more than a small mistake and I think its probably quite a +EV call. Id call it almost everytime. The rest of the hand plays itself although I probably make a slightly bigger turn raise and maybe bump the river up to $3.
edit: If anyone goes off on one at you at the table its always best to ignore them. Usually if its someone who knows what hes talking about, he wont want to drive the fish away by yelling at them anyway.

Do NOT try to buy pots at these stakes. He would not fold to action when an overcard showed up on the turn, and then when the second of it showed up on the river. And he looked pretty weak to me here. Your gut-shot call is fine here as long as you know he's going to pay you. They're not that bad of odds on the flop.

I wouldn't consider the overs outs here. You could end up losing a lot of money as they could easily help villians hand when they land.

They are certainly partial outs. They arent the kind of outs you want to put your stack on after hitting but villain will usually let you know if your top pair is ahead or not. You will certainly see top pair reasonably often here.

Say whatever you feel will keep him at the table! This guy is a gold-mine and tips his hands post-flop.
My biggest problem here is that we should have played this hand for stacks.

I dont follow?
SB checks, MP1 bets $0.6, Hero raises to $1.8,
The pot was 3.10, I raise to 1.80
On the river, I think I should have bet more

pot = 1.80
MP bets .6
pot = 2.40
hero calls .6 ...
pot = 3.00
... and raises 1.20 to 1.80
So villain calls $1.20 into a $4.20 pot
A pot sized raise is $3 to $3.60. A 1/2 PSB is $1.50 to $2.10
Think about this it is a very important idea
