I wouldn't think someone would call a preflop raise with 9,10
SO unless you have reason to put him on a higher set I think it's a good push.

when you have a pocket pair flopping trips (quads or a boat are better but not as common) is what your hoping for so I would think get the money in when you can.

There's only been a few times I've folded a flopped set from a pp.

My low limit mind is just boggled at the thought of pushing with that much money, lol.

...so you gonna tell us what happened?

That bet is huge, and you have bottom set with a straight draw out, I would most probably lay down here, pending on reads.

...actually, after further review. He did come over the top of you after your big raise.

So yeah, I'll be thankful it wasnt me because I would have called but now I think laying it down would be the smarter thing to do.

*edit this is refering to the first hand

Yes, he only min raised you here, which is not what the straight would do, the straight would either push right there or smooth call setting up for the slowplay, so this second one is a very good push in my opinion.

Hand 1 is standard, I feel.

The second one: only better hands are calling you. But that's not saying the push was bad. You just can't expect to have the best hand at show down.
