Absolutely a good push. I can't help but think that guy is a preflop idiot.

The bottom line is this: Do You Think You are Behind?

If so you may want to call and see the next card or fold.

Didn't we cross this same issue last night?

LOL

Its just damm near impossible to lay this hand down. But, if you are CERTAIN your opponent has the str8 why would you want to push here?
Just my opinion (and I'm probably wrong) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Instead of reraising to $16 you could have gone AI pre-flop. I think this is the first post you've made where you didn't push with rockets pre-flop. Tough flop though.

Good play preflop, good push on the flop.

Even if he does have the straight, you can make up lots of outs to the boat/quads.

Going nuclear preflop would be a waste of rockets.

No one gave any indication of having a high pocket pair or something worth putting it all in preflop. Just build a pot and get it all in there.

You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

I didnt reraise to 16 I reraised him 16 dollar effectively making the preflop raise 20 dollars. The more I look at this hand I just dont see any way I can get away from it not knowing that he had the one hand that had me beat.

I've had this exact hand played out before as well ... it sucks. You gotta wonder what he was doing in there with QTs. It happenned to me at the $25 table ... I didn't know it would still happen at the $200 table too. Ouch.
