Tough situation. He could be limping with high pockets (he was in early position) or he could have hit a set.

I dont see a str or flush possibility with his re-raise if he was on any sort of draw.

50/50, he hit a set and your dekc*f or he's overplaying pocket overpairs.

Im curious to see what happened.

Edit----

Double post.

P.S. I doubt I would have pushed without any knowledge of the player, but its either a push/fold situation.

This is really puzzling I would be extremely wary of the set.

Let's just hope it was the flush he was semi-bluffing/chasing. If it was the gutshot str8 draw instead, that's just sickening

I think I push here too. If he's got the set, he's got the set. A7s and limped high PPs and semi-bluffed draws are all possibilities for you to be ahead. Even vs. a set you have a few outs for a boat.

It looks that way to me too. But I'm a little amazed that someone would throw $80 (all his money) in on a draw.

I've seen it at lower stakes. But not this high.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

It's a very confusing hand to say the least, without knowing the player at all this is what would be going through my mind.

He is in the black as far as earning goes.

He's limped from an early position

He checks, and then when you make it $7 to go, he re-raises $20

I think the most important piece of information in all of this is that you were last to act.

I think he believes you are trying to steal the pot seeing how nobody else bet to chase away the diamond draw
-or-
I think he's holding A 3 or 4 3

Saying that...the fact that he called an all in makes me believe the latter was the case, he would be getting odds for an all in call at that point, as he believes he is about 60% to win (he probably put you on T7 or something, having to catch runners for the full house)

Last but not least he could also have had Pocket Pair (set or not) I highly doubt it though, since I believe he would have bet out hard instead of checking to chase away anybody drawing.

Without more information thats as in depth as I can get...Great post, make sure to update.

If it was me, I probably would have just called...there's no reason to raise in that spot I dont believe...If he had position on you, I probably would have tried a re-raise of 20 or so, but since he has to act first you'll have alot more information after the card hits. If he is truly going after only the flush then he's hurting himself by betting..and only helping you out in the long run...Also when the diamond hit on the turn you could then figure out what he had by what he did...If he had a Pocket Pair he would most likely check or bet something like 1/5th the pot size to test the waters, hoping to get you to fold. If that was the case i'd probably fire in a bet half the pot size. (if he calls, and then fires out on river, fold. If he checks on river, I'd probably check behind him, he probably wouldn't be able to let go of a set even if he had one at that point.) If he bet's hard, he got lucky and hit his flush...It happens to everybody, but you still got a nice stack to play with.

Overcard flush draw or a flopped set would be my guess. Or maybe he was being nice and decided to give you all his money

I guess I would be somewhat surprised if he was on a draw. The $7 bet post flop should have been enough to clean out most drawing hands. The exception might be a A5d, but if he had that, why not just call. At that point, very few cards could have hurt them. The $13 raise would have made my stomach sink , and I would have put him on a set at that point. Why? By trying to get in their head. If you are willing to go $7, you're either completely bluffing, or you have enough to keep you interested, so I'll just go over the top and see which it is. Their bet was a pretty solid one if they had a set. If they were on a draw, I don't like their play.

I would have called here, and hoped for the best. If they raised big after the turn and I didn't hit the boat, I would have to fold.

Since I can only guess, I would say they had pocket 7s.
