Themaddog is probably on a high cards flush draw. Dermott is a little bit trickier to figure out. I think the decision is close. You could very well have the best hand, though it is exposed a bit to the flush draw and any over cards floating around. With no reads, folding is a good choice since you will get information which will easily compensate the 10 bucks you lost here.

I doubt McDermott has TT, he would want to check behind you on the turn and the flush drawer would check as well. Then on a low, heartless river you would bet out strong and he would get cash and if a river heart falls, the drawer pays him off. No sense jamming the pot with a made hand while everyone else is still trying to make a great second best hand.

A deuce would be a very unlikely holding, though a little bit more appropriate to the action. I'm still rulling this out.

Dermott's 50 stack leaves it in the air. You never like commiting a lot of your chips in such a boarderline spot.

If I were in your spot on the table, I'd call the turn, bet a tenless river. If a 9 or an 8 fell, I'd slow down a bit becuase McDermott may have been playing 99 or 88 and not been afraid of the T. Though I do see the merit in folding.

this hand was a showdown though, didnt you see what the other players had? At least the one witht he best hand

easy read here, mcDermont probably has AhQh (high flush draw)
and the other guy has QsTs, TP, i would have called with your jacks

Wow, I had it backwards. Woops.

Shows you that my reads can be all right and all wrong at the same time.

Kinda sexy.

I was a bit worried that Dermott was just calling me all the way to the river and then put me all in holding a higher pocket pair. As it turns out he was drawing to 15 outs, but his big bet on the turn worried me especially as he was unlikely bluffing as the other player only had 8$ left of his stack and would be forced to call.
