I always have difficulty playing these hands when they are the nuts on the flop. Should i make a small 3x bb bet to induce betting, or would they catch on? In this case I just made an average c-bet but they folded. Any help?

Also, this hand just happened after I posted this

to answer your question about will 10nl players catch on? no.

dont slowplays hands, sometimes you dont get action but theres nothing you can do about it besides attempting some really dumb slowplays.

All your bets are way too weak. Your goal should be to get it all in by the river and these bets won't accomplish that.

Also re-raise more pf in hand 2. You are giving your opponents great odds to call.

I like a flop check in hand 1 as its not a drawy board. However if you do bet you need to build a pot, bet 2/3 to 3/4 of the pot, thats $1-1.20.

Hand 2, yeah you need to bet this flop and hope you get action for Jx. Again you want to build a pot, betting 0.40 into $3/4 is just stupid, as is the turn and river bet. I know we have the near nutz but you need to get the pot big so we can get it all-in at some stage.

Also you should be reraising KK to $1.50/2 preflop in hand 2

About weak bets, thats what I mean. I wouldn't bet that weak with a vulnerable hand but I was trying to get action from any J in the second hand or anyone with a KQ or something.

You think your average 25NL player is folding a J in hand 2 on any street? If you bet 1-1.20 on the flop and get called by one or two villains, you will have almost made as much as your two weak bets, plus they are more likely to call bigger turn bets and perhaps make a crying call on the river. You've got a big hand, BUILD THE POT!!

You just need to maximise you winnings, not try and slowroll a big hand every time.

Well on a dry board with 3 / 4 Aces either in your hand or on the board, no one has shit. You might WISH that he has the case ace and a decent kicker, or an unlilkey 2 pair, but c'mon, he has air. Given the preflop action from AA, he's hovering over the fold button. When you have this big of a lead, check it. This is not a typical set fastplay.

Slow for two reasons:
1) he DOES. NOT. HAVE. ANYTHING. It's why you check the river when someone misses their obvious draw- only way to get paid is by inducing a bluff. Also, maybe second or third pair on this board pairs kicker or spikes trips on the turn. O goody.

2) If my some miracle the clown hit a set or bottom two, he'd let you know on the flop, in which case, build away.

Nobody folds at levels much higher than this... Just jam the pot when you hit monsters, don't think too much about it if you don't get called.

the key is to determine if there are enough plausible holdings to pay you off. If you have AA and the flop is AA6 then you need to check. If the flop is AJJ come out and bet it and hope someone has a jack
