Is it my imagination or are the games so friggin nitty at 50NL? Is it that way as well 100-200NL? I can't get anyone to put any money in the damn pot.
What are you guys doing for table selection? Finding fish seems like a difficult task.. so I've been trying to just sort out who the bad regs are and try to play with them. But they are bad in such a nitty way it is painful to sit with them.
Any advice?

Past couple days have been horrid for me as well. I'm running a cold 10/8 (reg 16/12 @ FR) over the last 3k hands and every time I've picked up a decent hand I get 3-bet by the one nit at the table. At least I know my fold button works on Stars. It's been working overtime.
Maybe the cards are cold for everybody this week.

50NL seems fine. 100NL seemed to be nitty yesterday. But a lot of times I feel like its more based on how you are running that day. Because if you cooler a couple fish, you'll be saying, "TABLES ARE GREAT!"
Are you playing 20-50bb, 40-100, or deep?

The best table selection is still to open tables. You'll have to learn some heads-up against semi-decent players otherwise it can backfire, but it's the way to go imo.
The 250bb tables on stars are still the softest imo. Buy in for 100 if you don't want to play deep. - The regs will be opening wide because of the antes and the deep stacks, and you can exploit that massively by 3-betting a wide range IP because their opening ranges are too wide and their opening sizes too big against a 100bb stack in lP.

yeah start more tables guys. we're all to blame here for this. I see a lot of regs (getting worse lately) just relying on pure bumhunting tactics (waiting for fish to sit then instantly grabbing a seat to their right). just because you are sitting with another reg who you predict to have a neutral edge with doesn't mean it's not +EV. you need to consider your overall expectation in this game, and sometimes that will involve taking a slightly -EV proposition in a vacuum for a greater overall gain.
not saying we should all just purely start tables, but every once and awhile it can't hurt. some people NEVER play regs hu to stat tables and unfortunately for them they probably won't be around in a few years.
im also not saying to start tables if you aren't comfortably rolled for hu at a new limit. wait till you have proven you can beat the stake you intend to play if you aren't comfortable with your hu game and once you gain exp with the regs + are winning then its a good time to start games more.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

The short handed tables are pretty fishy, but you gotta constantly deal with getting shoved on by shorties.
I will try opening a few deep tables and see what they are like tomorrow.
