I'd probably raise him to see where I'm at.

I think you're ahead here. Raised his AQ/AJ? Raise and see what he does.

I think raising for information is a pretty bad idea when you're faced with a large overbet while holding a medium-strength hand. If you're right, he folds his hand, if you're wrong, you lose a bunch of money you didn't have to lose. If you call a large bet, you're indicating that you have some sort of a reasonable hand, and his reaction to that on the river should give you a sense of where you stand. There's no point in raising.

If you call, then he bets huge on the river, you get the same information for a cheaper price. I think calling is the best play, while raising is probably the worst. I'd actually rather fold than raise.

Do you think TT actually makes this play though? What can you put him on dsaxton?

That's entirely possible. It looks like he might have a set and be trying to get maximum action from a player with a pair of aces.

It's almost like he's scrambling to get as much money in the pot as he can, as though he were slow-playing on the flop. He probably wants to get raised.

That is just my guess, though.

I think TT would play this hand exactly that way:
Call decent raise pre-flop (check)
Check a set on an uncoordinated board (check)
Bet after the money card, an A, falls on the turn(check)

All the makings of a Set wanting to extract money from TPGK. There are a lot of people who make this play with AQ and AJ in EP though. If he doesn't have the A or TT why bet this. The pre-flop raiser usually has an A in his hand, right?
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

Yeah, raise the flop. I don't like to mess around with AK, especially when it misses the flop. Better to take down the flop than to let somebody connect on the turn. If they call or raise your flop bet then you got information about their hand one street earlier.

Why bet an unimproved A-K with two other opponents seeing the flop? You're going to get called by a pocket pair or top pair most of the time.

With the preflop betting that took place, I think the only people calling or reraising have AA/KK/QQ. You can put them on one of those hands immediately. You may get them to fold if they don't have one of those 3 or trips.
